Google Maps will take you to a dead end at a huge iron gate. It's better to head to La Fresa, right off of the carretera, walk to the railroad tracks behind the restaurant, turn left, and walk for 10 minutes or so until you see paths leading off the railroad tracks. Head down to the top of the falls and scramble down the left side to get to the bottom. The waterfall itself is pretty yet not particularly impressive.

This is not a touristic place and if you are not adventurous you'll find it a bit sketchy to get there. That said, from the directions Google Maps gives you you'll get to a dead end with a big wooden gate to a ranch. Park your car there, approach to the gate and you'll see a path running on the right. Follow it, you'll go underneath a big electricity tower, down the hill leaving the ranch on the left and the highway on the right. After 600 m you'll get to a creek, cross it and follow the path up, till you get to a railway track. You'll see a house in front of you, take the railway to the left, don't worry no trains will run over you. After 100 m you'll get to a railway bridge, cross it and you'll see several paths to the right to go down the hill. It's your choice which one you take, all of them fall at some point on the creek upstream the waterfall unless you walk another 500 m after the railway bridge. If you get upstream the waterfall you may find a bit dangerous to go down to the waterfall, unless you've done some climbing or scrambling before.

(Translated by Google) The WATERFALL is very beautiful. I took a taxi next to the OBSERVATORIO subway. This one goes to OCOYOACAC and he charged me 60.00 pesos to the toll booth and there I got off. I crossed the highway and the free highway and arriving at the train track, I saw a store where they sell groceries and food and, there I asked and they told me where the WATERFALL is. As I went on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, the place is lonely. The water is cold. If it is worth knowing. I recommend them, HORMIGA WALKS !!!

(Translated by Google) Super necessary to take a bag for the garbage and if you do something altruistic, collect what you can. Too much pollution, if not for that the place would have 5 (Original) Super necesario llevar bolsa para la basura y si hacen algo de altruismo recojan la que puedan.

(Translated by Google) An unexpected and hidden place within the forests of the municipality of Ocoyoacac. The path to the waterfall is beautiful, however, visitors are very unconscious and we can see garbage, plastic remains and glass that are in the waterfall, which is not only sad for the beauty of the place, but can also be a danger to other visitors and pets or forest animals that come to the waterfall. Many of the stones are damaged with graffiti, which speaks of a great lack of awareness regarding the care and ecological awareness of both the visitors, the locals and the authorities in charge of that place.

(Translated by Google) Without a doubt it is a beautiful place, but I do not recommend it. You would think that it is \safe\ when you see people there. I was the victim of an assault and after that they told me that the place is famous for it, so I recommend not exposing yourself.
